Apply to Chappelow

Chappelow K-8 Arts Magnet School is the only K-8 school in Greeley-Evans District 6 that is a school of choice at all grade levels.   All students who attend Chappelow utilize the Open Enrollment Process to leave their boundary (home) school and elect instead to attend Chappelow.

During the Open Enrollment period (normally early November through mid-December) each year, applications are received through our district's Open Enrollment website and held until the Open Enrollment window closes. Chappelow administration evaluates what (if any) openings the school will experience for the upcoming school year and applications are accepted at all grade levels until we reach capacity. We actively seek to admit students who demonstrate a passion and proclivity for the arts. All remaining applications are placed on a wait list status.  As openings become available, families on the wait list are contacted to determine if they would like to take advantage of an open seat.  At the end of the school year, all applications still on the wait list are disposed of and families are encouraged to apply again at the next open enrollment window.   

Students who currently attend Chappelow DO NOT need to re-apply for open enrollment to remain at Chappelow for the following school year.  However, siblings of current students (including those who will be in Kindergarten) do need to apply for acceptance.

If you do not apply for open enrollment during the enrollment period, you may still apply. However, those requests cannot be considered inside the open enrollment process, but instead automatically place your student on a wait list in the order they were received.  Once open enrollment is completed and all applicants from open enrollment are exhausted, we can then move to the late applications to be considered for enrollment.  If we are able to accept your student, you will receive a text or email from our District admissions office.
